F.A.Q.

What does Roofingtree.com do?

We take the guesswork out of finding a ‘tried and true’ roofing company in your area. Many states have no barriers (licensing, training, etc) to opening a roofing company, therefore anyone can claim to be a roofer, but very few out there are really true professionals.

Why should we go with your recommendation?

For starters, every roofing company that is a member of the Roofingtree.com community has been pre-screened by our staff to insure that only real qualified roofing companies in your area will be recommended. These people represent actual roofing companies in your area, not just wayward ‘stormers’ looking for a quick buck! They live and work near you and have reputations to uphold. They have been in business for years and will be there tomorrow as well.

My friend says roofing is no big deal and that he knows a guy that can do my roof and save me big $$$. Why shouldn’t I use him?

Your roof represents about 60% of the total exterior of your home and protects the contents of one of your biggest assets. To say the least, installing a new roof is a major construction project requiring supervision, coordination, and experience. Every roof is different and presents a unique set of challenges. You want your roofer to have the ability to foresee and overcome any potential problems incurred on the jobsite as well as insuring that your roof is installed according to local codes and manufactures standards. We cannot tell you how many roofing disasters are caused by the inexperienced roofer.

How does a roofing company qualify to become a member of the RoofingTree.com community?

There is an application process but essentially our team insures that the roofing company must:

  • Have a proven track record of commitment to quality and professional roofing standards

  • Maintain and practice a Code of Ethics and Professional Standards

  • Be licensed (if required) in your state

  • Own and operate out of a physical office or shop within the community

  • Always use quality grade materials in their scope of work – never seconds

  • Install all roofs according to manufacture’s printed application instructions and in compliance of all local code requirements

  • Always present themselves in a professional and proper manner

  • Maintain their status as a credit to their community, profession, and industry
